The Atlantic Palace Hotel in Florence is housed within a historic
13th century building which was built around the same time as Brunelleschi’s
Orange coloured Dome which dominates the Florentine skyline. Throughout
the centuries the Atlantic Palace Florence has had many owners each
adding their own contribution to this charming and intriguing old
building. To this day the predominant theme throughout the hotel
is terracotta flooring, ceilings supported by thick wooden beams,
Romanesque columns, lancet vaults and an antique vase which dates
back to the mid 19th century.
