Atlantic Palace Hotel - Guest Reviews
The following are some of the comments people staying at the Atlantic Palace Hotel
have left.
Review 1
We booked our room directly with the hotel and had a great time
in Florence. Our standard double room cost 140 euro per night and
after a long and exhaustive search the Atlantic Palace Hotel in
Florence was one of the cheapest four star hotels we could find.
The room was spacious, comfortable and excellent value for money.
The furniture is tasteful and the beds firm and comfortable. The
décor suits this medieval florentine palace down to the ground
and the vaulted breakfast room is the icing on the cake. The bathroom
was lovely and the housemaids were meticulous in their daily cleaning
of the room. Breakfast was a typically Italian affair and although
the Café Latte did excel beyond our expectations. The Hotel
concierge was friendly and assisted us with our restaurant reservations
as well as Uffizi Art Gallery tickets. Finally, we must mention
the Bar man whose Vodka and Martini was one of the best we have
had in years!

Review 2Having spent my Erasmus exchange year in Florence a mighty 16 years
ago I was a little loathe to go back…. However, my better
half insisted that we go as the flight prices on ryanair.com were
far too good to miss and we both had some free time off work thanks
to our professions as school teachers which gives us extra long
holidays… Anyway, we came to Florence during the October break
and stayed at the Atlantic Palace hotel in Florence which proved
absolutely perfect for our sightseeing needs and thanks to the soundproofed
medieval walls proved a perfectly safe haven from the chaos that
is "Via Nazionale" which is the street upon which the
Hotel Atlantic Palace is located. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the
typical Italian continental breakfast and thought the croissants
or “cornetti” were simply scrumptious. We are already
planning a trip back next Spring and hope to return to this hotel
where in “peak” season in October we paid 200 euro a
night for a double room after having booked directly with the hotel
online.

I was a little bit apprehensive about the Hotel Atlantic Palace
as I do not often venture abroad... the last time I went to Italy
was 25 years ago... I needn't have worried as this Hotel was absolutely
fine for everything i.e. Location, Rooms and service all absolutely
tip top. Everyone we had dealings with i.e. housemaids, waitresses
and reception staff were very polite, smiley and generally just
very nice, making us feel completely at home in this our first time
to Florence. Breakfast is very Italian and there is no bacon however,
there is an abundance of fresh fruit and pastries making it one
of the best continental breakfasts I have had. Overall, the Hotel
Atlantic Palace is a perfectly good value for money hotel in the
city centre of Florence near all the main attractions. I recommend
it to anyone on a medium to high budget.
